Detailed comparison
Demand Signal
Shutterfly's wallet category and support documentation show that wallet prints are still a known photo product. Forum users specifically cite Shutterfly-style four-copy wallet ordering as a reason they seek collage or grid workarounds.
Product Gap
A user who already has digital images may want to create four different wallet images on a single standard print. TextFaker can make that composite deterministically before the user uploads it to any print vendor.
Implementation Guidance
Expose a repeat mode and a unique-photo mode. In unique-photo mode, warn if fewer images than slots are provided, then deterministically fill remaining slots by repeating in input order or leaving blanks based on a selected option.
Validation Path
Tests can check the fill policy, exported filename, image MIME type, page orientation, and a machine-readable layout summary for each preset.
Research notes
- Shutterfly support content gives useful dimension language for wallet-size expectations.
- Demand source: Scrapbook.com explicitly mentions Shutterfly and the frustration of ordering four of the same shot when four different shots are wanted.
- The comparison should avoid treating Shutterfly as a privacy tool; it is a print-service competitor.
